08. "Songs for Judy" - Archives Performance Series

Recorded: November 1976 at various venues across the United States, part of NYCH U.S. Tour that year. Well-known as "The Joel Bernstein Tapes," which previously had been widely bootlegged for a long time, among die-hard fans. 

Archives Performance Series Volume: 07.

Released: November 30, 2018 (CD & vinyl). I got this album on January 9, 2019 after coming back home from 3-day residential gigs at Joe's Café Muine, first with Benjamin (ex-Jackals drummer).

09. "Tonight's the Night" - Original Release Series

- Recorded: December 15, 1972 - September 13, 1973. 

- Released: June 20, 1975.

- Archives Original Release Series Volume: 07. (from the ORS Box set Volume II - released September 2017)

- Received: January 16, 2019 after placing an order from a Dutch CD collector from eBay UK since December 2018. It was also my first time getting a new debit card from a local bank so I thought I should give it a try buying some stuff there, and it worked. Originally planned as a follow-up to "Time Fades Away" and a homage tribute to two fallen brothers - Danny Whitten of Crazy Horse (1948-1972) and Bruce Berry - roadie, both died from heroin overdose.

- Musicians: The Santa Monica Flyers (Neil Young, Ben Keith, Nils Lofgren, Danny Whitten (posthumously), Jack Nitzsche, Billy Talbot, Tim Drummond, Kenny Buttrey & George Whitsell).

10. "Live Rust" - Original Release Series

- Recorded: October 4-22, 1978 at various locations in USA as part of Neil Young & Crazy Horse USA Tour that year. 

- Released: November 14, 1979.

- Original Release Series Volume: 12. (released as part of the ORS Box set III, September 2017)

- Received: March 10, 2019 from my friend Peter George as he studied abroad in Australia and brought these CD albums to me (#1). 

- Musicians: Crazy Horse with Frank "Poncho" Sampedro, Neil Young, Ralph Molina and Billy Talbot.

- Recorded: August 1, 1983 - March 17, 1986.

- Released: July 21, 1986. 

- Received: March 10, 2019 from my friend Peter George as he studied abroad in Australia and brought these CD albums to me (#1). Not yet being qualified as "ORS" from such a box set release of Geffen Era albums, but we will see. 

- Musicians: Neil Young (lead vocal, harmonica, synthesizer) / Danny Kortchmar (synthesizer, vocal) & Steve Jordan (drums, synthesizer, vocal).

12. "Tonight's the Night" T-shirt

Unknown printing company and year of manufacture. Received March 10, 2019 as part of my friend's "homecoming trip" all the way from Melbourne to Saigon. 


13. "4-Way Street" - Crosby, Nash, Stills and Young (CSNY)

- Recorded: 1970.

- Released: April 7, 1971. 

- Received: June 16, 2019. I actually grabbed this vintage album copy at one local store near my old house in District 3 called 'Thanh CD,' now relocated to another remote area (Binh Chanh province). I was lucky to be honest, to be honored bringing this album back home. 

- Musicians: David Crosby, Graham Nash, Stephen Stills and Neil Young, with Calvin "Fuzzy" Samuels on bass and Johnny Barbata on drums.

- Recorded: June 17, 1974 - August 29, 1975.

- Released: November 10, 1975.

- Original Release Series Volume: 08. Part of the ORS Volume II box set (Sep. 2017).

- Received: August 1, 2019 from a record store in Hanoi. Without the inner paper bag with extra artwork. Disc made in West Germany. 

- Musicians: Neil Young with Crazy Horse (Poncho, Talbot & Molina) with guest musicians (Graham Nash, Stephen Stills, David Crosby, Tim Drummon and Russ Kunkel).

- Recorded: September 9-12, 2016.

- Released: December 9, 2016.

- Received: October 13, 2019. From "Times Records" store (Hãng Đĩa Thời Đại) by a random chance I visited there and oversaw this CD album on one of the shelves, grabbed it right away and made a proper purchase. 

- Musicians: Neil Young, Jim Keltner, Paul Bushnell & Jakob Micah Nelson.

17. "After the Gold Rush" - Original Release Series 

- Recorded: March 12, 1970 - June 30, 1970.

- Released: September 19, 1970. 

- Received: October 30-31, 2019 from my God father's trip as he's coming back to Saigon from Las Vegas. What a long way to go - also our last time to be seeing each other and it was halted (all the traveling things and related) cuz of the shitty Covid time (February 2020 - March 2022). This album. however, is a vintage 1970 release comes with no lyric sheet inside (might have been as well missing by the previous owner's carelessness).

- Original Release Series Volume: 03. Part of the ORS Volume I box set (2009). 

- Musicians: Neil Young, Nils Lofgren, Billy Talbot, Danny Whitten, Ralph Molina, Jack Nitzsche, Stephen Stills & Bill Peterson.
